ANSWERS

  1. No, CREATIVE PAVING™ is cast on-site and the colour and patterns are applied while the concrete is wet (slab in progress). Interlocking paving stones on the other hand are pre-cast at a factory moved to site and then arranged like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

  2. Imagine stamping your foot on a bed of in-set concrete; the pattern beneath the sole of your shoes is impressed in the concrete and remain, literally forever.

  3. Not if properly maintained! The colour is achieved by application of high quality dry-shake colour hardeners and antique release agents that produce permanent U.V stable surface.

  4. Cracks are controlled in a number of ways:
    * The concrete mix used for pattern imprinted concrete - with a higher cement content - is stronger that regular     concrete.
    * The concrete mix contains crack inhibiting/reinforcing fibres.
    * Properly designed and installed isolation, expansion and control joints are an integral part of CREATIVE PAVING™    pavements.

  5. Good house keeping; sweeping and rising with clean water as required. Every number of years, just like house painting, your Artscape pavement may be washed and resealed by our team of experts.

  6. CREATIVE PAVING™ is sealed with decorative concrete sealer, which contains anti-fungicides to prevent algae build up and moss growth.

  7. Our sealer produces a hard, durable clear film with excellent resistance to water, alkali and acids. Oils stains simply wash away.

  8. CREATIVE PAVING™ laid to slope so that water is directed to pre-constructed drainage channels.
